For my branding I wanted to create something that represents me as a person, so after completing some design pages and look further into it my life and creating something I enjoyed, I looked into my coding side, as I have always been very ICT based.
Below are pictures I have taken of some embossing that is in a cycling magazine I was looking through, the design is given an almost 3D interactive side to the design, creating a more interesting and visually appealing design.
It allows the customer interaction and they look further into the design, This is where my concept came in, I looked into creating something code based to represent my life, so therefore, embossing gives an underlying design that can only be seen when felt or looked closely, just like the coding aspects that have inspired me to produce something interactive.
Below are certain aspects of my design that I would like embossed, these would be almost like underlying code that produces an interaction theme that links with me.The design becomes more subtle when it is embossed and the outcome would be more minimal and less in your face.
Aswell as the embossing, I needed something else that related to me, so as I have a very unique aspect to my life having a missing muscle, and you never find anyone like that, I decided to incorporate this into my designs to give it a personal look into my life. I have removed a section of the top left corner to give this illusion, I believe it is a nice little touch to my designs.
I looked into this booklet below to look into different stocks and the best possible option for my embossing, it is important I get the right stock for embossing so that it is as visible as possible.
I mocked up the work in a layout to show the different sort of designs I would like to produce, but given the time for the hand in, I was unable to produce the embossing, I will work with my branding over summer and actually produce a branding for myself to get work. I will effectively work on this all through summer to get a good design.
